We built Wilder for families. Your children's privacy is non-negotiable.

Wilder is a nature discovery app designed for children, operated by Be Wilder LLC. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state privacy laws. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Wilder is designed for children under 13, used under direct parental supervision and consent. Parents create accounts and manage all child profiles.

Children's Privacy โ€” COPPA

Wilder is designed for children under 13 and complies with COPPA. We do not collect personal information from children without verified parental consent.

Parent-first architecture: Only parents create accounts. Children never enter personal information directly. All child data is created and managed by the verified parent account holder.

By creating a Wilder account, parents provide verifiable consent for their children to use the app under their supervision.

How We Use Your Data

We never sell your data. We never share your data with advertisers. Wilder products are ad-free by design.

Location Data

Wilder does not collect, store, or use your location. We do not request GPS permissions, we do not record coordinates with discoveries, and we do not track where your family has been.

Photos & Images

Children take photos of nature as part of the discovery experience. These photos are:

To improve speed and reduce costs, Wilder caches identification results โ€” for example, the species name and general region where a similar identification was made โ€” so that common identifications can be served faster without re-sending images to third-party AI services. We do not cache or share the underlying photos between accounts. Your child's photos remain private to your account and are deleted on request as described in Section 08.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

As a parent, you have the right to:

To delete your account: Go to Parent Dashboard โ†’ Settings โ†’ Delete My Account. All child profiles, discoveries, photos, and messages will be permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

You can also email us at [loading...] to request deletion and we will complete it within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We will notify you by email if we make material changes to this privacy policy. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of Wilder after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never retroactively change how we use data already collected without explicit parental consent.
