We've designed Wilder to be easy to try before you buy. All Wilder paid subscriptions are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime — your access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for. If you want to evaluate Wilder before committing, use our free tier.

Cancellation
You may cancel your Wilder subscription at any time:
- From your Parent Dashboard → Settings, or
- By emailing [loading...] from the address on your account.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. Your account then moves to the free tier — your child profiles, discoveries, and field journal are preserved.

Auto-Renewal
Wilder paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you chose) at the then-current rate. We charge the payment method on file. You can cancel anytime before renewal to avoid the next charge. We email you a receipt at every renewal.
If we change pricing, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price takes effect. You can cancel before that date to avoid the new rate.

No Refunds for Paid Periods
Once you have been charged for a billing period, that charge is final. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, including in cases of:
- Forgotten cancellations or accidental renewals
- Changing your mind after a charge
- Limited use during a paid period
- Price changes (you can cancel before the new price applies; see Section 02)

Limited Exceptions
We will issue a refund in these specific situations:
- Unauthorized charges. If a charge was made without your authorization, contact us within 60 days. We will investigate and refund verified unauthorized charges.
- Duplicate charges. If you are billed twice for the same period due to our error.
- Extended outage. If a Wilder-wide service outage prevents you from using the app for more than seven (7) consecutive days, we will issue a prorated credit or refund for the affected period.
- Discontinued paid feature. If we discontinue a paid feature you have prepaid for, we will refund the prorated unused portion.
- Required by law. California, New York, and other jurisdictions may grant you additional rights. We comply with applicable consumer-protection law, including state automatic-renewal laws.

How to Request a Refund
For the situations described in Section 04, email [loading...] with:
- The email address on your Wilder account
- The date and amount of the charge
- A short description of the situation
We respond within five (5) business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Wilder offers a generous free tier so you and your child can explore the app, log discoveries, and decide whether the paid features are worth it before subscribing. The free tier is designed to give you time to make that decision without financial risk.
